Biography
Denny has over 12 years of experience across various domains; managing hospitals and health projects, economic evaluation, health financing, evidence synthesis, implementation research, teaching and advocacy. He is currently working as Evidence Synthesis Specialist with the Campbell Collaboration, and is based out of New Delhi. He has experience of working with development organisations, insurance companies, and consulting companies for conducting economic evaluation, systematic reviews, and disease forecasting studies. His work and research experience has been in countries, such India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, and Nigeria.
He has been the Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator for over 15 research studies conducted across various states in India, and has been awarded several research and project grants from national and international bodies. He has published over 25 articles, and presented in national and international forums in the field of cost-effectiveness analysis, systematic reviews, and health financing. He is Associate Editor-International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC), and reviewer for Journal of Public Health, Value in Health-Regional Issues, Patient Experiences Journal, and reviews of the Cochrane Collaboration. He has guided MSc and PhD students in the field of public health and cost-effectiveness analysis.
Denny has a MBA in Hospital Management from Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur, Master of Public Health (MPH) from University of Auckland, New Zealand, and Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Mangalore University, and is a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship for his MPH studies. He is Fellow of Royal Society of Public Health, and Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Health, in the UK, Chair-Elect for ISPOR Asia Young Professionals Group for 2015-17, Governing Council Member- Indian Health Economics and Policy Association (IHEPA), and Member- Cochrane and Campbell Economic Methods Group (CCEMG).
